What e-Turista is
e-Turista is a nationwide accommodation registry being developed by the Czech Ministry of Regional Development (Ministerstvo pro místní rozvoj). The goal is to unify how accommodation providers report guests: instead of separate processes for UbyPort, the House Book, and local accommodation tax, providers would enter guest data once into e-Turista, which would then automatically forward the relevant information to the tax office, the Foreign Police, and the municipal authority.
Current status — not yet in force
This is important: as of mid-2026, the legislative amendment that would introduce e-Turista (an amendment to the Tourism Act) has not been definitively passed by the Chamber of Deputies. The project was originally targeted for 2025, slipped to phased effective dates proposed for mid-2026 through early 2027, and the exact date mandatory registration would start for the wider population of accommodation providers is still not confirmed. Treat any specific “go-live” date you see elsewhere with caution until the law is actually passed.
What it means for accommodation providers today
Until e-Turista is law and its technical reporting format is published, accommodation providers still need to meet their current obligations: UbyPort reporting for foreign guests, House Book and Registration Book recordkeeping, and accommodation tax collection and remittance. Best Guest is tracking the e-Turista legislative process and will update its reporting integrations once the system’s requirements and rollout date are finalized.
